Reporting to the Safety Manager, As Safety Officer – FDM analyst you will analyse the flight data relating to (flight) safety and you will give advice on measures to (flight) safety. You will evaluate the effects of these measures on the TUI fly operations, taking into account the legal requirements and the right balance between safety and commercial interests. As Safety Officer – FDM analyst you will also be responsible for the administration and development of Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) program.
As Safety Officer – FDM analyst you will manage the Flight Data Monitoring program software, including various responsibilities and duties such as defining safety limits, coordinating the introduction of new releases of the system and investigating, evaluating, processing and solving problems in cooperation with the manufacturer of the Flight Data Monitoring program. You will be responsible for making proposals and coordinating improvements with the aim of efficient and effective use of the FDM software. As Safety Officer – FDM analyst you will be responsible for managing the transmission of the flight data between the aircraft and the Maintenance Department. As Safety Officer – FDM analyst you will analyse the data and perform trend analysis to identify the area of operational risk and quantify current safety margin. You will validate and analyse the flight data and the observed exceedances with the aim of maintaining or improving (flight) safety. As Safety Officer – FDM analyst you will provide facts to support a (flight) safety investigation, by means of analysing the recorded flight data of a specific flight. As Safety Officer – FDM analyst you will analyse (flight) safety exceedances which, according to the applicable procedures and guidelines, must be assessed by Pilot Safety Investigators. You will provide statistical information about (flight) safety exceedances, so that they can be discussed with the relevant managers and/or the Nominated Persons and Accountable Manager in the SRB.
As Safety Officer – FDM analyst you will promote the CSMS through presentations and publications and thereby increasing the safety awareness of the employees. As Safety Officer – FDM analyst you will be responsible for reporting on the results of Quality Assurance, audit plan progress, non-compliances and (safety) incidents in various (SAG) meetings. Hereby you will act as secretary and make recommendations for improvements. Like all other QSSE colleagues, you also bear responsibility for any related work to continuously improve the quality and safety standards of the QSSE department such as; investigate, follow-up and giving feedback on crew reports, incidents and non-compliances.
- You have a Bachelor degree and/or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an equivalent role
- You have knowledge of international and national aviation regulation and legislation (E.g. EASA)
- You preferably have experience with Flight Data Monitoring software
- You preferably are, or have previous experience as, a Pilot
- You have preferably followed an Aircraft Accident Investigation Course
- You have strong analytic skills
- You can work independently and take initiative
- You have a problem solving mind-set and are able to set priorities
- You are always looking for improvement opportunities, ways to improve
- You are structured and like project management
- You like working in an international, changing environment
- You have excellent written and oral skills in Dutch and English
